Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Lead Launch Electrical Coordinator to oversee the successful launch of electrical systems in new vehicle programs. This role will act as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of electrical components and systems throughout the pre-production and launch phases.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead cross-functional coordination of all electrical system launch activities from early build phases through Job 1.
  • Manage issue resolution processes for electrical components, including root cause analysis, containment, and corrective actions.
  • Support build events (PVs, MVBs, Captive Test Fleets) by ensuring electrical readiness and resolving on-site issues.
  • Track and report launch metrics, open issues, and readiness status to leadership and program teams.
  • Collaborate with design release engineers (DREs), suppliers, and plant teams to ensure timely delivery and validation of electrical hardware and software.
  • Ensure compliance with program timing, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in launch processes and documentation.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in automotive electrical systems
  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing or Launch Environment
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Applicable Experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, wiring, modules, and diagnostics.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex timelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as GVDP, Teamcenter, and issue-tracking systems.


Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience with high-voltage systems, ADAS, or infotainment technologies
  • Familiarity with plant operations and launch readiness assessments
  • Previous Launch Experience in a Lead role
