Term: 07+ Months (Opportunity for extension)
Work Schedule: Initially 5 days/week; flexibility for 3 days/week after 2 months
OverviewThe Lead Network Administrator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of data communication systems. This role ensures the efficient operation of the organization's network infrastructure, supports troubleshooting efforts, and contributes to the development of network policies and documentation. The position also involves evaluating new networking technologies and supporting network implementation for new construction projects and locations.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate and implement data communication systems.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently; communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
- Research network products, services, protocols, and standards to support procurement and development.
- Recommend, schedule, and execute network upgrades and repairs.
- Monitor network activity to ensure optimal performance and timely issue resolution.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve circuit or hardware issues.
- Document network problems and resolutions clearly and promptly.
- Stay current with networking technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Plan and coordinate the movement, installation, and cabling of network equipment.
- Contribute to the strategic direction for telecommunications and network services.
- Conduct site visits and walkthroughs to assess infrastructure and provide recommendations.
- Support network implementation for new construction and office locations.
- Travel to work sites as needed using a company or personal vehicle, including during emergencies or special events.
