Job Title: Production Planner
Job Type: W2 Contract - 12 months
Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $ 25 - 27 / hour
Position Overview:
As a Supply Chain Analyst focused on rebranding initiatives, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of supply chain activities during a dynamic period of change. This role is essential in aligning supply planning and production scheduling with rebranding goals, including Bill of Material (BOM) updates, Phase In/Phase Out (PIPO) planning, and scrap minimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, support production timelines, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Bill of Material (BOM) Updates for Rebranding:
    Execute timely and accurate BOM changes across all relevant product lines to reflect rebranding updates.
  • Phase In/Phase Out (PIPO) Planning:
    Develop and implement comprehensive PIPO plans to manage inventory transitions and minimize disruptions in production.
  • Scrap Minimization:
    Design and lead initiatives to reduce scrap and waste. Monitor performance and report results on an ongoing basis.
  • Production Scheduling & Procurement:
    Support production scheduling for assigned product lines, especially during SKU changes. Create and manage procurement plans for raw materials and coordinate purchase orders to ensure continuous material supply.
  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor and adjust inventory levels based on dynamic business needs and PIPO plans, ensuring alignment with overall targets.
  • Planning Analysis & Decision Support:
    Perform detailed planning analyses to provide insights for decision-making. Present key metrics on service levels, inventory health, scrap, and capacity.
  • Process Improvement Projects:
    Lead or contribute to continuous improvement efforts in supply chain planning and production scheduling, with a focus on optimizing transitions and reducing waste.
Your Skills and Expertise:
Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field (required and must be completed prior to start).
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience with BOM updates and PIPO processes, particularly in product change scenarios.
  • Proven ability to analyze and manage supply chain activities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, IMES, Oracle (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
Certifications (Preferred):
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or
  • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
    Willingness to pursue certification if not currently held.
