Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Support and Infrastructure (STSI) Specialist to support the FDA s ColdFusion General Support Systems (GSS), encompassing both public-facing and internal web application environments. This role combines system administration, technical troubleshooting, ColdFusion application support, and project management within a highly secure and regulated federal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Maintenance (O&M):
Administer and support ColdFusion-based application environments (Adobe ColdFusion, JRun Java, SQL Server, Oracle RAC).
Perform system and server maintenance, security patching, and configuration management.
Maintain SOPs and security documentation including ATO support materials.
Conduct load testing and vulnerability scans; support firewall and database schema changes.
Application Support:
Respond to approximately 60 monthly support tickets, ensuring resolution within 3 business days.
Provide end-user support, code promotion assistance, and application log analysis.
Maintain application metadata repository and troubleshoot system-wide issues.
Project & Change Management:
Develop project schedules, WBS, and risk mitigation plans.
Support configuration and change management using ServiceNow and Microsoft Planner.
Submit and track CCB requests, coordinate production releases (off-hours possible).
Communication & Documentation:
Lead and document technical meetings; prepare agendas and detailed minutes.
Provide monthly status reports and contribute to GFE inventory, team org charts, and burn-rate tracking.
Report and escalate risks, bugs, and recommended actions to FDA COR and ODT leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master s preferred).
Experience: Minimum 8 years in IT system administration, ColdFusion environments, and federal IT operations.
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Adobe ColdFusion, JRun Java, MS SQL Server, and Oracle.
Expertise in AWS GovCloud administration preferred.
Proficient in ServiceNow, Microsoft Planner, and infrastructure documentation tools.
Knowledge of security scanning, load testing, and database scripting
