Business Analyst (Supplier Analytics) - Remote
Full-time, United States
As a member of the Supplier Analytics team within BCD Travel's Product Planning and Development group, you will work on a range of reporting and insights solutions and be accountable for delivering analytics projects from inception to completion. You will work cross-functionally with Data Engineering, Product, Supplier Relations, Operations, and Vendors.
You need to become the subject expert on booking and supplier data. You will need to support the engineering team to deliver Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that improve profitability and streamline supplier management processes. This includes building dashboards, and other automated reporting capabilities, and preparing KPIs that will be used to analyze supplier performance, client savings, and commission optimization and can be leveraged in supplier negotiations.

As a Business Analyst (Supplier Analytics), you will
- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors to deliver BI solutions for supplier management and insights
- Define project scope and timelines with internal stakeholders by understanding business priorities and delivery expectations and facilitating feasibility and trade-off discussions
- Translate business outcomes into functional requirements and become the expert on the travel industry and supplier data
- Monitor and drive the development roadmap with the engineering teams, leading sprint planning activities and managing blockers and dependencies
- Identify data gaps and improvement opportunities, be hands-on, and perform data analysis and QA activities
- Support new data integrations and monitor existing sources to ensure data quality and completeness
- Benchmark data against industry, regional, and global standards. Ensuring SLA and KPI reporting is accurate
About you
- You have an agile mentality and believe in quick iterative development of prototypes and POCs
- You understand the travel industry and supplier management processes
- Experience in the development or implementation of data-heavy BI projects
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools - Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Advanced Excel
- Experience working on JIRA projects and writing business and technical requirements
- Knowledge of 3rd party data integrations, APIs, and different data formats like JSON, XML, CSV, etc
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Databricks, and AWS Cloud technologies is a plus
