Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing technical assistance and support for a diverse range of devices and technologies in a non-profit educational setting. You will play a key part in ensuring systems and equipment are ready for the upcoming academic season.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for devices such as iPads, Chromebooks, smart boards, and projectors.

Perform inventory management and light repairs on hardware, ensuring devices are functional and ready for use.

Upgrade software, including transitioning systems to Windows 11, and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.

Organize and maintain storage carts, cabinets, and smart screens to optimize accessibility and functionality.

Collaborate with campus IT administrators and senior IT managers to address technical needs and troubleshoot issues.

Support summer preparations by cleaning up and configuring equipment for the new academic year.

Ensure proper configuration and deployment of Cisco technologies and Meraki systems.

Work flexibly within the scheduled hours, completing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.

Divide work by classrooms or designated areas to ensure systematic progress.

Requirements

Proven experience with Cisco technologies and Meraki systems.
Proficiency in managing Apple devices and Mac computers.
Familiarity with Microsoft systems, including Active Directory and Windows 11.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware repair and configuration management.
Ability to deploy and configure various devices, including smart boards and projectors.
Experience with imaging devices to meet institutional requirements.
Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and system upgrades.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and campus staff.
