Position: Senior IT Business Analyst
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid 3 days onsite, local candidates only)
Length: 6+ months

Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to serve as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and IT teams. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business acumen with technical expertise to deliver innovative IT solutions that align with organizational goals. You will be responsible for analyzing business challenges, developing requirements, and ensuring seamless collaboration across diverse teams to deliver impactful technology solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Develop business case financials to support strategic IT investments and proposals.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and design sessions to capture business needs.
  • Apply design thinking, journey mapping, and other methods to define requirements.
  • Translate business objectives into detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, and documentation.
  • Act as a primary liaison between business units, third-party vendors, and IT teams.
  • Present IT solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate requirements sign-offs and maintain consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project planning, milestone tracking, and contingency planning.
  • Assist in QA processes to ensure solutions meet documented requirements.
  • Contribute to training documentation and change management activities.
  • Drive process standardization and best practice documentation for BA and PMO teams.
  • Support project pipeline prioritization and portfolio governance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 7 years of experience in one or more IT disciplines, with strong exposure to digital technologies and modern requirements gathering techniques.
  • 4 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst on large, complex IT projects.
  • Strong ability to manage relationships across diverse stakeholders and executive levels.
  • Familiarity with higher education environments is a plus.
