Job Details

This is a 100% onsite work position based in Tallahassee, FL. Apply only if you are willing to relocate.

Position: Sr. Project Manager (PMP)

Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or financial related field.

Certification: PMP Certification

Required Experience:

  1. Experience with IT project management, specifically managing implementation of an EDMS solution and document and data migrations between solutions
  2. Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently
  3. Experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
  4. In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs
  5. Documented and proven ability to formulate project plans for managing and monitoring progress on software development projects; to think logically and to analyze and solve problems; compile, organize and analyze data; to evaluate and monitor projects, plans and schedules and implement corrective action plans
  6. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.)
  7. Familiarity with system integration, data migration, and cybersecurity best practices
  8. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  9. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  10. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  11. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  12. Strong customer service orientation

Preferred Experience:

  1. Familiarity with environmental regulatory business processes and practices
  2. Understanding document management systems, metadata structures, and compliance requirements

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with software developers, business analysts, data analysts, and other technical and non- technical subject-matter experts to develop detailed project schedules
  2. Manage and monitor project progress within the constraints of the project management plan, schedule, budget, and resources.
  3. Proactively identify risks and issues affecting project schedules and objectives and appropriately escalate these issues, with recommendations, to senior managers.
  4. Effectively identify change and use appropriate protocols to manage and communicate this change effectively
  5. Collect, maintain, and distribute project status meeting minutes to stakeholders
  6. Provide routine status reports and briefings to project team, customers, and senior managers. Maintain ongoing and effective communications among all project stakeholders, both business and technical. Effectively coordinate resources and assignments among project assignees.
  7. Adhere to the department project management methodology, standards, policies, and procedures, as well as those technical standards and policies relevant to assigned projects.
  8. Make recommendations to improve processes and policies
  9. Manage relationships with department program area business partners.
  10. Develop strong and collaborative relationships with customers to achieve positive project outcomes.
  11. Demonstrate strong relationships and interpersonal skills in working with technical staff, program staff and vendor community
  12. Comply with department s project management standards, processes, and procedures.
