Job Description:
Business Process Engineer with mortgage experience is responsible for leading initiatives to redesign and improve business processes within the mortgage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and risks within the mortgage lifecycle.
- Developing and executing process improvement strategies and solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience.
- Conducting in-depth process analyses, identifying procedural deficiencies, and recommending solutions.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define solutions, and drive results.
- Ensuring process documentation, including flows and control points, is comprehensive and compliant with policies and procedures.
- Interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and compliance requirements within the mortgage context.
- Supporting end-to-end change initiatives across people, processes, and technology, potentially utilizing formal methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of mortgage lending or banking experience.
- 3-5 years of business analysis or process engineering experience, preferably in mortgage or technology fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis and design, and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to change.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, Smart Sheets, and Confluence is desired.
- Experience in developing test plans and procedures to validate application design.
