Role: Senior Automation Engineer with the Alternative Investments Domain.
Location: NYC, NY and Jersey City, NJ - Onsite hybrid work model with three days onsite each week.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Lead to join our growing team in the alternative investments sector. The ideal candidate will lead testing efforts for our investment platforms and applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including development, business analysis, and support, to define testing strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Testing Initiatives: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end testing for alternative investment products.
Test Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, including functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing.
Team Management: Mentor and guide the testing team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business goals, and translate them into effective testing scenarios.
Defect Management: Track and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication with development teams; provide root cause analysis for critical issues.
Reporting: Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate quality status and highlight areas of risk.
Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with automation engineers to implement automated tests where appropriate.
Compliance: Ensure that testing processes are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements within the investment industry.
Required Skills:
- 9+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4+ years in a lead or senior role.
- Experience in financial services or alternative investments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
