Job Details
Job Title: Senior Auditor
Location: 200 E Randolph, Chicago, Illinois, 60601(Onsite)
Job Description: The Senior Auditor supports audit and risk mitigation activities, including advisory projects, corporate investigations, and SOX 302/404 compliance.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or comparable business degree, with professional designations/certifications preferred.
- 2-5+ years of audit experience with a large multi-national, professional services or public accounting firm.
- Advanced technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge and understanding of internal auditing standards and techniques as well as general accounting methods, principles and practices.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, as well as, interpersonal skills to work effectively in teams and build relationships.
- Effective organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in audits of Aon business units/processes, demonstrating understanding of relevant risks and controls.
- Assist Audit Project Manager with audit planning, testing strategies, and execution.
- Document processes, complete test procedures, and maintain evidence.
- Identify and communicate findings, recommend improvements, and assist in formal report development.
- Verify management s corrective action plans.
- Support ad-hoc projects, investigations, and SOX compliance efforts.
- Assist external auditors during reviews.
- Participate in global audits and collaborate on departmental initiatives.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement.
