Public Safety Application Systems Support Analyst- Long Term Project - Mostly Remote (PST)
Client: City of Henderson
Location: Mostly Remote (PST)- must be able to work on site as needed.

Job Description: Public Safety Application Systems Support.
Tasks:
- Support project/product implementations for the IT Public Safety Team
- Fire and Police applications include: Everbridge, Securus, NetDMS, TeleStaff, FireRMS, Intime, Tableau, custom applications, etc.
- Interacts with and oversees application vendor activities during system implementations
- Coordinate with customers and other IT divisions on tasks (firewall rules, software/hardware product evaluations, etc.)
- Information Security Application Reviews
- Upgrade SQL Database servers
- Application Monthly Maintenance Upgrades/Patches
- Create and update Physical Data Flow Diagrams
- Create and update technical documentation
- Create SSRS reports or Power BI reports
- Writing SQL Queries
- Migrating custom knowledge base system
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in design, implementation, and support of enterprise-level systems.
- Principles and practices of systems implementation and software development.
- Supporting software applications at a technical level
- Knowledge of Firewalls, reverse proxy and secure access to internal applications.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with Web Application accessibility.
- Windows System/Server Administration
- Create Physical data flow diagrams using Visio. - Includes servers, traffic, firewalls, ports, etc.
- Business Process Analysis
- Technical writing
- Database tools: (ex: Toad, Microsoft SQL Server Management Tools)
- SQL query languages
- Network traffic monitoring tools (ex: Fortinet, Splunk, PRTG)
- FTP applications (ex: FileZilla, WinSCP, Axway)
- General understanding of Information Security, Cloud platforms (AWS, AZURE)
- laptop, desktop, server and mobile device hardware and operating systems
- Web server software (ex. IIS, Apache, and Tomcat);
- principles and practices of systems implementation and software development.
- Creating reports using query tools (ex: Crystal Reports, SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Tableau), Etc.
Desired Skills
- Information Technology related certifications (ex. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator)
- Browser debugger tools (Chrome or IE's Developer Tools)
- Programming languages and development environments such as C#, .NET, AzureDevOps
- Knowledge in SharePoint creation of pages, lists, etc.
- PowerShell for Windows Scripting.
- API monitoring/troubleshooting tools (ex: Postman, Swagger, SoapUI)
- Government agency experience and/opr working with confidential data.
Testing:
- YES - write an SQL query with sample data to be provided 30 minutes prior to interview
- Using a sample system such as 'ticket system' to build a mock Data flow diagram (DFD) or system/network architecture diagram that illustrates the traffic flow between components, including servers, firewalls, open ports, protocols, and external/internal systems
- Come prepared to walk through this in your interview
- Mostly Remote and SOME on site work
- Monday - Thursday 7:30AM - 5:30 PM PST
- 38-hour work week (9.5 hours/day - .5 unpaid lunch) = 10 hour work days
- Must be able to pass a criminal back ground check (including livescan) before starting work. Takes 3-6 weeks to clear.
