Job Details
Department of Veteran Affairs is currently hiring a Frontend Developer to manage a sustainment and enhancement project. This position will be full-time and fully remote within the United States.
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance front-end applications using React.js and Redux.
- Implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces aligned with design requirements.
- Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate SOAP-based APIs and services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Redux.
- Hands-on experience integrating with SOAP-based web services.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and modern API consumption patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with VA and/or other Federal Agencies.
- Understanding of the VA Veteran-Focused Integration Process (VIP) project management methodology.
