Senior Full Stack Java Developer (80% backend / 20% Frontend)

The Senior Software Engineer (backend) position is responsible for writing and testing enterprise-level code in Java environment. This role requires 8+ years solid experience in Java along with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

The focus will be on modernization efforts, including application rewrites and a migration to AWS

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop backend code for applications
  • Review and validate the requirements and functional specifications
  • Work on migration to AWS
  • Work closely with Agile Team Coordinators and Business Analysts to understand requirements
  • Participate in regular meetings and speak to their processes

Required Skills and Personal Qualifications

  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Spring MVC, SpringBoot
    • JPA
    • AWS Cloud; Functional programming experience in AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, AWS S3, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Cloud Watch Logs, AWS Cloud Formation
    • SQL
    • Design patterns
    • Spring framework
    • Web service development
    • Tomcat
  • Experience with SOAP & REST API s Integration
  • Proficient use of JavaScript as a programming language
  • Significant experience with JavaScript Frameworks such as React.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical peers; capable to manage business and technical team expectations
  • High level of organizational, written, and oral communication skills

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ area in a Hybrid role (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
