Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Strategy: Design and maintain a scalable data platform using a Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) on AWS.
- Infrastructure Leadership: Define storage strategies within AWS S3 and compute structures within Snowflake.
- Pipeline Excellence: Lead the development of robust ELT/ETL pipelines using dbt (data build tool) for modular modeling and data quality.
- Technical Governance: Establish standards for data modeling, CI/CD, documentation, and security across the data stack.
- Mentorship & Influence: Lead a team of data engineers, conducting code reviews and aligning technical roadmaps with executive business goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership: 3+ years in a lead or principal role, with a proven track record of designing enterprise-grade data architectures.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Expert-level knowledge of AWS, specifically S3 for data lake storage and IAM for security.
- Data Warehousing: Mastery of Snowflake (clustering, pipe, tasks, and cost optimization).
- Data Modeling: Advanced proficiency in dbt for transforming raw data into business-ready models.
- Frameworks: Deep understanding of the Medallion Architecture and how to manage data state across layers.
- Engineering: Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or Scala for advanced data orchestration.
