Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in IT support or help desk environments who is eager to learn, grow, and serve as the first point of contact for technical issues. We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in IT support or help desk environments who is eager to learn, grow, and serve as the first point of contact for technical issues. You will provide Tier 1 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues across multiple company locations, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end users, providing Tier 1 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Handle basic network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, VPN, Wi-Fi) and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Manage and document all incidents and resolutions in the Freshdesk ticketing system, ensuring accurate and detailed records for knowledge sharing.
- Perform hardware setup and configuration for new hires, including imaging, software installation, and user account setup.
- Provide on-site support at multiple facilities as needed, maintaining consistent service levels across locations.
- Assist with user onboarding and training, ensuring employees understand how to use company systems and tools effectively.
- Maintain and update IT documentation, including troubleshooting guides and FAQs, to support team efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects such as system upgrades, patching, and hardware refresh cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3 years in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles.
- Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office 365.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Freshdesk preferred).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Soft Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support a diverse user base with varying technical proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Other:Willingness to travel between company locations as needed.
- Valid driver's license (if required for travel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory for user account management.
- Exposure to remote support tools and mobile device management (MDM).
- Basic knowledge of macOS and mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
