Project Manager

Tech Valley Talent (TVT) has an opening for a Project Manager. This role is primarily remote, but some onsite in NJ is required so we are looking for candidates who are a commutable distance from Trenton, NJ. Experience with large-scale system modernization preferred.

We are seeking assistance to oversee the day-to-day management of a multi-phase modernization effort of a large-scale case management system based on established business requirements, which includes the preparation required for the onboarding of Software as a Service (SaaS) vendor and throughout the implementation of the solution.

Day to Day Tasks

• Apply project management methodology throughout the project life cycle, adhering to the standards set by the PPMO, while ensuring that processes and tools comply with industry standards, such as those in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) by the Project Management Institute.
• Collaborate with the system implementation vendor to develop and maintain the project schedule, including key milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Partner with the PPMO to establish and enforce project governance structures, escalation procedures, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Ensure the alignment of system implementation vendor activities with strategic objectives.
• Identify, document, and monitor risks and issues, and develop appropriate response strategies.
• Oversee vendor compliance with the project plan to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among system implementation vendors, business users, and IT teams.
• Assist in managing system implementation vendor contract compliance, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate go-live readiness activities and collaborate with Workforce to prepare all stakeholders for the system transition.
• Track and resolve outstanding issues following implementation.
• Prepare and deliver final project closure documentation and a report on lessons learned.
