Compensation: $70.00/hr $82.50/hr
About the Team:
- Join the In-House Controls (IHC) team within Central Engineering, Client Logistics, where we develop and deploy advanced automation solutions across client's global operations.
Position Summary:
- We re seeking a North America-based deployment lead to spearhead the expansion of the client s internal control systems across our North American network. This pivotal role supports upcoming large-scale automation rollouts in 2026, focusing on vendor engagement, training, and deployment excellence.
- You ll act as the primary bridge between European-based teams and North American operations, helping to scale a high-impact automation initiative that s reshaping clients logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first North America-based IHC team member, establishing foundational deployment operations
- Build and lead technical deployment strategies for over 90 planned installations in 2026
- Develop vendor training programs and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) procedures
- Lead knowledge transfer efforts from EU to NA-based teams
- Manage stakeholder alignment across Operations, RME, and external vendors
- Create project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and success metrics
- Innovate and optimize automation deployment practices and tools
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in industrial automation deployment and technical project management
- In-depth knowledge of controls systems and automated material handling
- Proven experience leading large-scale automation implementations
- Skilled in developing training documentation and vendor onboarding programs
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel internationally in 2025 (primarily EU), and approx. 20% across North America in 2026
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience scaling automation programs from the ground up
- Background in material handling systems, sortation tech, or logistics automation
- Familiarity with vendor oversight and remote support operations
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
Success Metrics:
- Timely execution of 2026 deployment goals
- Reduction in high-impact events relative to baseline
- Achieve or exceed 99% technical quality benchmarks
- Establish and sustain effective vendor training/support programs
- Build a scalable, repeatable deployment model for NA region
Travel Requirements:
- 2025: 4 weeks of EU travel for training (split into 22 weeks possible)
- Frequent visits to Seattle area and Michigan for FATs
- 2026 onward: ~20% travel within North America
Tech Stack & Tools:
- Exposure to the Codices language (not mandatory)
- Emphasis on project and vendor management tools, not deep coding
