Job Title: SEO Analyst I

Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 5 Months


Position Summary

The SEO Analyst I is a collaborative, analytically driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced ecommerce environment. This role focuses on improving the volume and quality of organic search traffic across all devices, with an emphasis on increasing search rankings and driving revenue both online and in-store. The position requires expertise in content SEO and local listings, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

Reporting to the Search Marketing Manager, the SEO Analyst I partners with internal stakeholders across marketing, site merchandising, IT, and external vendors to support business objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing ambiguity while contributing to broader company strategies.


Core Job Responsibilities

  • Build, format, and upload content in a CMS while ensuring SEO best practices and error-free execution

  • Use AI content writing tools to create and update SEO-optimized blog posts, landing pages, and digital assets

  • Conduct keyword research and analysis using SEO platforms

  • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headers, URLs, and on-page content

  • Pull, analyze, and maintain SEO performance reports in Excel using web analytics and search console tools

  • Perform competitive and market analysis

  • Collaborate with site merchandising and channel marketing teams to create content aligned with SEO and business goals

  • Research industry trends using tools such as Google Trends

  • Support technical SEO initiatives and related projects


Requirements for Consideration

Education

  • Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Experience with SEO and analytics tools including:

    • Google Search Console

    • Adobe Analytics

    • GA360 / GA4

    • Bing Webmaster Tools

  • Experience managing keyword lists and ranking data within SEO platforms

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (creative, branding, merchandising, content, IT)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable using job ticketing or project management systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Background or interest in the beauty, fashion, or consumer industries

  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) or user experience (UX)

  • Experience working with large product catalogs
