Title: Google Cloud Platform Architect

Location: Onsite from Sunnyvale, CA

Job Description:

Create a well-informed cloud strategy and maintain the adaptation process

Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software

Identify the best cloud architecture solutions to meet the company's needs and business requirements

Lead the adoption of new cloud technologies and establish best practices for them

Design cloud infrastructures running in 24/7 environments

Design and implement IaaS and PaaS solutions

Develop enterprise cloud guidelines and automations

Oversee all aspects of the Google Cloud Platform environment, including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and security

Develop and organize cloud systems

Implement systems, solutions, and processes to manage cloud costs, scalability, redundancy, and continuous validation

Manage and monitor cloud-based applications and services

Collaborate with IT security to monitor cloud privacy

Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, data, and integration teams to ensure best practices are followed throughout cloud adoption

Respond to technical issues

Job Responsibility:

Experience with identity management and networking segmentation across multiple VPC networks and projects

Experience leading large-scale network migrations to Google Cloud Platform

Experience establishing technical strategy and architecture at the enterprise level

Experience with one or more third-party networking products

Experience leading Google Cloud Platform Cloud project delivery

Experience working with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Terraform

Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services

Knowledge of security, identity, and access management

Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP/S

Knowledge of network security design including segmentation, encryption, logging, and monitoring

Knowledge of network topologies, load balancing, and segmentation

Knowledge of programming languages including Python, Ruby, and JavaScript

Skills Required::

At least 3 years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a related role, with a strong professional focus on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), including hands-on experience with key Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.

In-depth understanding of cloud architecture fundamentals and best practices, including designing cloud infrastructures for 24/7 environments.

Proficiency with cloud infrastructure as code (IAC) technologies like Terraform and CloudFormation, and experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Chef.

Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform's networking components (e.g., Virtual Private Cloud, Cloud Load Balancing), security features (e.g., Identity and Access Management, Security Command Center), and identity management tools (e.g., Google Cloud IAM).

Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP/S and experience with security design principles, including segmentation, encryption, and logging.

Develop data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, and experience working effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
