Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Application Engineer Robotics Simulation & Automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in robotic simulation, offline programming (OLP), PLC programming, and HMI development. This role is at the forefront of digital transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies, supporting projects across various industry sectors.
Technical Support & Consulting:
- Provide hands-on assistance and mentoring in implementation, configuration, testing, and validation of automation projects.
- Deliver training on virtual commissioning, digital twin technologies, and control systems.
- Support customer teams through knowledge transfer and technical guidance.
- Collaborate in UI design and contribute to internal software enhancements.
- Simulation Development
- Design and develop robotic simulation models using Siemens Process Simulate and/or Plant Simulation.
- Create virtual environments to replicate real-world conditions for testing and validation.
- Develop automation scripts and evaluate simulation results to identify areas for improvement.
- Offer strategic insights to optimize robotic and automation system design.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in robotics and mechatronic systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Robot Offline Programming (OLP).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with PLC programming and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols.
- Experience in process engineering and system automation.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate, TIA Portal, and/or SIMIT.
- 2+ years of experience in virtual commissioning.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Basic scripting or programming skills.
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certification.
