Network Security Engineer

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

We are currently seeking a Network Engineer - Configuration & Infrastructure to join our growing team. If you have hands-on experience with enterprise networking systems and thrive in dynamic, on-site environments, we want to hear from you!

Duties

• Create configuration templates for network hardware.


• Create network firmware standards and update schedules.


• Work with the Cyber Security team to address any vulnerabilities and PCI requirements.


• Design network topologies and update documentation.


• Mitigate any vulnerabilities and single points of failures across our network


• Update and create documentation, SOP, and train staff


• Collaborate with stakeholders on the implementation of new technologies


• Research the latest best practices standards and update equipment life cycles


• Assist in investigations of security incidents, root cause analysis and resolution documentation in incident reports.


• Make recommendations to improve Network Infrastructure and ensure network infrastructure solutions meet the needs of the city network.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of cyber security concepts, principles and network security


• Knowledge of Zero Trust Implementations


• Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching


• Experience VPN, SDWAN and Site to Site VPN(BGP, BFD)


• Experience with routing protocols and implementation


• Prior experience with Cisco Network Design, Architecture


• Prior experience working with Cisco DNA/Catalyst Center

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $65-75/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
