Information Security Director

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Information Security Director for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier Sports Association clients in Orlando, FL .

Responsibilities :

• Strategy and Governance :
  Develop and implement year-round information security strategies and roadmaps, aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. Manage and update security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential threats and prioritize mitigation efforts.
• Operations and Management :
  Oversee the day-to-day operations of the information security team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing mentorship and development opportunities.
  Manage the budget for the information security function, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  Implement and maintain security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption solutions.
  Manage the Security Operations Center (SOC) and incident response processes, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of security incidents.
• Education and Awarenes s:
  Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of information security within the organization.
  Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security controls are integrated into business processes.
  Communicate the importance of cybersecurity to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and trends and adapt the information security program accordingly.
  Manage vendor relationships for security solutions and services.
  Represent the organization at industry events and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing information security strategies and programs.
• Strong understanding of security technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
