Position s Contributions to Work Group:
- Testing and development of Electric Drive machinery such as AC Drive Hauls Trucks, Shovels, Locomotives, etc.
- 8-10 years of experience with the design or testing or installation and maintenance of high-power electrical systems 1MW.
- Will work in a team of other test engineers and with mechanics and operators to execute prototype builds, machine updates and tests.
- Participate in Risk Assessments and Hazard Assessments related to electrical systems.
Education & Experience Required:
- Need several years of experience with design, installation and/or testing of high power electrical systems and electronics.
- Such as generators, switchgear, transformers, electric drive mining shovels, haul trucks, locomotives.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced level of training and practical understanding within the electrical field.
- Level 4 Electrical Certification
- Practical application and hands on experience with high power electrical systems
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work in a team environment with a variety of roles.
