Description
THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE IN INDIANAPOLIS or DES MOINES 3 DAYS A WEEK - TUES/WED/THUR.
Seeking a Proofreader and Content Quality Control contractor who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of written content before it is published, distributed or shared broadly. Qualified candidates will have a keen attention to detail, strong language skills, and knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules to ensure error-free and polished materials. This role will collaborate closely with the individuals and teams that work in the areas of content, social media, search marketing, marketing communications, creative, email marketing and more. This person will have the skills and experience to uphold the highest standards of accuracy, consistency and professionalism in all types of written communications.
Job Responsibilities
Review and proofread written materials, including collateral, social media posts, articles, emails, reports, and website content, ensuring content is accurate for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Verify factual accuracy and consistency of information presented in the content.
Ensure adherence to company brand guidelines, product and portfolio style guides, branding guidelines, and editorial standards.
Collaborate with content creators to provide feedback and suggestions for improving clarity, coherence, and overall quality of content.
Identify and correct inconsistencies in tone, style, and voice within a given piece of content.
Maintain a high level of accuracy while working with tight deadlines.
Track changes and revisions using campaign management platform to document any necessary revisions to content creators.
Stay updated on Corteva and ag industry terms, phrases, acronyms and product positioning and messaging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a proofreader or editor, preferably in a professional setting.
Strong portfolio showcasing your proofreading skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using proofreading software and tools.
Knowledge of industry-standard style guides, such as AP Style or Chicago Manual of Style.
Familiarity with content management systems and basic HTML.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
