We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tiltrotor. This position is on site in Fort Worth.

Bell is seeking a Material Review Board Engineer within the Operations Support Team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Material Review Board Engineering Team

Bell is seeking a self-motivated Airframe Material Review Board Engineer to join Bell's Operations Support Organization. They will work closely with engineering support groups, including airframe design, airframe stress, material & processes, and fatigue along with the production area supervisors and managers to support the evaluation of nonconforming products and the execution of repairs per MRB policies and procedures.

The candidate will become a Bell MRB board member and be certified to disposition non-conforming airframe parts (composite, metallic, bonded panels, welded, castings, forgings and other supporting components) including the design of original repairs (example: doublers/angles/bushing/sleeves, etc.) based on fit/form/function at the next assembly and structural integrity.

Assure compliance with Design requirements, including customer specifications, military standards and Bell policies and procedures. The candidate will participate in root cause corrective action teams in the factory and with suppliers as required to reduce recurring defects.

Team members must be willing to cross train in one or more MRB disciplines and be deployed locally to other teams to fit the needs of the business.

What you'll be doing as an Airframe Material Review Board Engineer

Be on the Material Review Board for Airframe to evaluate and appropriately disposition nonconforming material in accordance with all the Bell Policies and Procedures related to MRB activity and a ssure compliance with Design requirements, including customer specifications, military standards and Bell policies and procedures.

Reviewing and approving fabrication planning as well as providing dispositions for items that are designated as Controlled Items (Primary, Critical, & Flight Safety Parts) and Critical Safety Items.

Facilitate communication between other Engineering disciplines, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing and Suppliers relative to repairs schemes, root cause corrective actions, and engineering-related production problems.

Support Root Cause/Corrective Action activity, including the investigation of defective, damaged, non-conforming or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, systems or equipment to determine cause of the problem and prevention from recurrence which includes supporting the BELL ENOVIA Issue, Engineering Change (ECR / ECO), and Variance (VAR/LPV) processes as needed.

Skills You Bring To this Role

A high level of proficiency with CAD digital product definition (DPD) data.

Proficiency with basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Must have working knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles and techniques per ASME 14.5-1994.

Ability to work with various manufacturing, procurement, quality and design personnel, and support a diverse manufacturing/assembly and/or Flight test environment.

What you need to be successful

Bachelor's degree in engineering

o Prefer Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautics/Civil/Structural

At least 5 years of direct Material Review Board Engineering experience.
