Daily Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of servers, host computers, and remote data centers, ensuring optimal system performance, configuration, maintenance, and timely issue resolution.
  • Monitor and manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, hubs, and communication links; administer WAN, VPNs, internet/intranet, and ensure antivirus and firewall protection.
  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise systems and applications, including email, web services, VMware/Hypervisor environments, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Troubleshoot and support system performance, capacity planning, hardware utilization, and license management to prevent degradation or over/under subscription.
  • Provide responsive, courteous technical support for end-users via phone, email, or in person; maintain accurate ticketing and workflow documentation.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard system integrity.
  • Document IT infrastructure standards, system specifications, and process flows; assist with project planning and implementation as needed.
