Job Details

We are seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical infrastructure within a Data Center. This role is essential for maintaining high availability, managing risk, and supporting operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee on-site management of shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct performance benchmarking, analysis, and reporting on facility operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize safety and reliability.
  • Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems, including:
    • Switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment
    • Chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems
  • Assist with design/build-out of new facilities and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Manage assets and inventory.
  • Support recruiting efforts and ensure customer demands are met.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Military/Trade School Degree with relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience and management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of Data Center Engineering or Management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of network design, layout, and low-voltage copper/fiber cabling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical and mechanical systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
