Job Description:
The Oracle HCM Solutions Architect is responsible for technical and functional architecture, planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of highly complex systems. This role develops and maintains Solution Architect standards and processes and assists with escalated complex support issues and project implementation. This role is within our Oracle HCM Technology team.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect with 5+ years experience with Oracle HCM Cloud; Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and/or Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) a plus
  • Experience with architecting and supporting complex integrations between both hosted and on-premise HCM technology.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with working knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Azure DevOps experience with release management experience
  • Recommend and select tools and technologies for HR Technology group.
  • SQL development experience, as well as fast formula and integration development

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Point of Contact / Liaison between the HCM business units, Technical, and reporting teams to ensure work requirements are being met.
  • Design and lead the implementation of solutions architecture across the HR organization based on enterprise and/or HR business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
  • Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprises future-state architecture vision.
  • Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
  • Provide consulting support to HR Technology solutions consultants within projects to ensure the project is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Participate in project planning sessions for highly complex systems with clients, business analysts, and team members. Advise on system options, risks, cost versus benefits, and impact on the enterprises business processes and goals. Oversee the defining, designing and project scope development for complex projects.
  • Review buy vs. build decisions and assists in obtaining buy-in from Senior Management. Works closely with HR/IT Leadership and enterprise architect to assure all systems are in line with HR/IT long-term strategy.
  • Provide architecture recommendations based on long term HR/IT organization strategy. Support the development of the HR/IT roadmap and maintain a technology inventory and monitor technology acquisitions to minimize duplicity.
  • Analyze current trends in technology/architecture and educate others in the Human Resources departments about best practices.
  • Translate (as well as providing technical expertise to others who are translating) business and technical requirements into business application systems. Establishes architect guidelines. Maintain broad knowledge of a variety of programming languages and software technologies. Act as an industry class expert in a cross section of technical disciplines.
  • Providing guidance to and/or lead multiple projects.
  • Review projects to ensure compliance to application architecture standards. Also responsible for defining standards to be utilized in software development/ integration. Performs peer reviews of project solutions.
  • Provide guidance for the testing of systems ensuring system meets needs of client and business, assisting others in similar efforts.
  • Advising others on maintenance issues and concerns based on areas of expertise, and/or long-term HR/IT strategy. Handling escalated Tier III level support issues across multiple areas of expertise.
  • May coordinate the workflow of a given team and lead through others. May support the review of work and training of other employees. Others may look for advice from this team member.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Computer Science, or related degree. In lieu of a degree, related experience required.
