Proficiency in 3-D CAD design of complex parts and large assemblies.

Ability to communicate engineering problems and design concepts through presentation to engineers, designers, scientists, and other project partners.

Familiarity with the application of engineering principles, including a sound understanding of mechanics, fluids, heat transfer, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (relevant but not required for consideration; interested candidates should apply even if they do not meet these qualifications):

Advanced degree in a related engineering discipline.

Familiarity with PTC Creo for CAD design and Windchill or other PDM or PLM software.

Familiarity with analytical tools such as ANSYS Mechanical and Fluent CFD.

Experience designing systems for operation in an accelerator or nuclear environment.

Experience with drawings, schematics and P&IDs, including codes and standards such as Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Professional experience in design, analysis, assembly and/or testing of complex mechanical systems.

Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical problems, and to both work independently and participate creatively in collaborative teams.
