We are looking for Cards Mainframe Developer for our client in Toronto, ON
Job Title: Cards Mainframe Developer
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- Associate should be a strong in Mainframe development with 6 to 8 years of experience.
- Associate should have experience in JCL, COBOL, VSAM and DB2.
- Associate should have good knowledge in the Unix scripting.
- Good knowledge in Agile.
- Good Knowledge in Card Domain (Issuing end)
- Good knowledge in Unix Scripting
- Aware of end-to-end Card lifecycle.
- Good knowledge in Cards Domain
- Provide support for fixing defects during the testing cycle
- Managing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
- Providing technical solutions, performing code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and ensuring the quality of deliverables
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to mainframe applications
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and designing technical solutions.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the software development process and team productivity.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications.
- Working with other teams, such as business analysts and QA, to deliver successful projects.
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks.
- Providing guidance and support to other team members.
- Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Optimizing mainframe systems for performance and efficiency.
- Providing support for testing efforts, including defect resolution.
- Participating in release management activities.
- Understanding the business needs and how mainframe applications support those needs.
