Job Details

An NX Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and modifying 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Siemens NX CAD software. The role also requires strong expertise in NXOpen programming and automation with C#/VB to enhance design efficiency and integration with CAx systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using Siemens NX.
  • Create, customize, and automate NX functionalities using NXOpen API with C#/VB.
  • Work with CAx (Computer-Aided technologies) tools to integrate CAD with analysis, manufacturing, and validation systems.
  • Build and manage parametric and associative CAD models.
  • Ensure designs comply with GD&T standards, industry norms, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, R&D, manufacturing, and testing).
  • Maintain CAD data integrity within PLM environments (preferably Teamcenter).
  • Support design validation, prototyping, and release to production.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support on NX customization and CAD automation.
  • Drive process improvements using advanced CAD/CAx methods.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX (Unigraphics NX) for CAD design.
  • Strong programming knowledge in NXOpen with C#/VB for CAD customization.
  • Hands-on experience with CAx tools (CAD/CAE/CAM).
  • Solid knowledge of 3D modeling, assemblies, drafting, sheet metal, and surfacing.
  • Expertise in GD&T (ASME/ISO standards).
  • Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred).
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial product design.
  • Exposure to CAE tools for design validation.
  • Knowledge of DFM, DFA, and DFMEA practices.
