Backend Go Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a company that is hiring a Backend Go Developer to maintain and grow their internal applications. This is a fulltime, hybrid role in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities:
* Backend Go Developer will write clean, efficient, secure, and high-performance code in Go
* Take ownership of large components and projects
* Drive best practices and engineering excellence
* Deploy and maintain applications
* Systematic problem-solving approach, combined with a strong sense of ownership and drive
* Oversee information systems security safeguards for these cloud solutions
* As a Backend Go Developer, you will architect, deploy, and maintain Cloud solutions
* Collaborate with other engineers to implement operational solutions while defining, adhering to industry best practices
* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Highly knowledgeable in Go
* Working knowledge of web and network protocols and standards (HTTP, TLS, DNS, etc.)
* Highly knowledgeable with Linux and the Linux CLI
* Highly knowledgeable of Amazon Web Services including but not limited to Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, Fargate, Appconfig
* Hands on experience in using Git
* Experience with RDS
* Experience with using APIs, API development, and API Integration
* Excellent communication skills
* High attention to detail and sense of urgency

Preference will be given to candidates who have:
* Pertinent Cloud certifications
* Experience in Python
* Experience with Jira
* Experience with small teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
