AT&T has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician: To support the customer's computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician are as follows:
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 7 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 0 years, master's and 1 years, bachelor's and 3 years, associates and 5 years or HS diploma and 7 years. Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician are as follows:
- The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.
- Respond to and resolve incidents, demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team.
- Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
- Draft and implement standard network change requests.
- Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, coordinate and install new equipment).
- Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory.
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process).
- Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP).
- Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs.
- Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE)
- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN's, Port Security, Thin Configs).
- Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Foundry OS.
- Experience with Visio.
- Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence.
- May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs.
