Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the uptime of the databases applicable to the domain
- Responsible for the performance of server instances and the safety (backups) of the data in the database
- Provide the required support for installing new DBMS versions and applying maintenance fixes and patches
- Set and tune system parameters and other technical DBA responsibilities
- Work with developers to optimize code
- Develop, manage and test installations, upgrades, replication, backup and recovery of current databases
- Implement access control, monitor user access and performance of the database systems
- Provide database assistance as needed to the developers
- Make and test modifications to the database structure when needed
- Maintain the database and update permissions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline desired
- Experience with working in a mixed OS environment of or not limited to Windows, UNIX, LINUX, etc.
- Three years of relevant experience
- Must have experience with Kubernetes and MongoDB
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Sec + or other IAT Level II certification
- Active Secret clearance
