Power Platform Developer / Dynamics 365 Specialist

Work Address: 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23219

Work Type: Hybrid (The first couple of months we need them 3 days a week in office, after that twice a week)

Overview:
The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in Microsoft s Power Platform including Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse. The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills to effectively engage in both technical and business requirement discussions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

  • Provide expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Operations) and Power Apps/Automate development.

  • Design and develop new web components using .NET, SQL, Azure, Power Platform (Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), and C#.

  • Customize, configure, develop, deploy, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and remediate Dynamics 365 technical issues, document solutions, and collaborate with system administrators and IT teams to implement fixes.

  • Apply strong knowledge of Microsoft s Dynamics 365 and Power Platform licensing models.

  • Adhere to best practices in solution implementation and contribute to defining/refining governance approaches for platform usage within VDOT.

  • Develop and disseminate technical documentation (requirements, recommendations, analysis, design documents, etc.).

  • Prepare prototypes/mockups based on requirements and leverage Power Platform features/tools to provide optimal solutions.

  • Act as liaison between IT and business units, serving as the primary point of contact for issue logging, tracking, and resolution.

  • Guide customers in selecting between Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, and other technology offerings; recommend efficient alternatives.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and policies within the Business Enablement Services program.

  • (Preferred) Support DevOps in Power Platform (Power Pipelines/ALM Accelerator).

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
