Job Details
Title: DataStage Administrator
Location: United States- 100% Remote
Duration: 6 months + extensions.
Pay Rate: $45-60/hr. W2
Responsibilities:
- Utilize DataStage and Cognos to design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions.
- Administer RedHat Linux systems, including managing permissions, groups, disk space, and network configurations.
- Troubleshoot system issues related to network connectivity, SSH, keypairs, and SELinux.
- Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance system efficiency.
- Collaborate with users and support teams to address technical inquiries and provide assistance.
- Configure and maintain enterprise schedulers such as CA Workload Automation.
- Manage Apache HTTP Server configurations for web-based applications.
- Handle NFS mounts and ensure seamless data access across networked systems.
- Utilize ServiceNow and Jira for issue tracking and resolution.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills while interacting with users and cross-functional teams.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in DataStage administration and troubleshooting.
- 5+ experience supporting Cognos reporting environment.
- 2+ years of UNIX programming experience. (Bash, Korn, or Shell)
- Experience working in a Redhat Linux environment, with basic troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of enterprise schedulers such as CA Workload Automation.
- Experience in an Apache HTTP Server environment.
- Understanding of NFS mounts and functionality.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow for ticketing.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of ODBC and JDBC connections for databases.
- Basic understanding of database types such as MSSQL, DB2, SnowSQL.
- Familiarity with LDAP.
- Python experience is a plus.
