Job Description:

Are you passionate about ensuring software quality and functionality? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Junior Functional Tester.

As a Junior Functional Tester, you will play a crucial role in our software development lifecycle by thoroughly testing applications to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other team members to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
  2. Develop test cases and test plans based on project requirements and user stories.
  3. Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.
  4. Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems.
  5. Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
  6. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
  8. Communicate test results and findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Provide support to developers in reproducing and debugging reported issues.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  4. Good understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  5. Familiarity with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.
  6. Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python (preferred but not required).
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  9. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
