Oracle Cloud Payroll Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 remote day of choice)
Duration: 6-month Contract with opportunity for extension or full-time hire
Brooksource is seeking an experiencedOracle Cloud Payroll Specialistto join our Fortune 500 Telecommunications client’s Payroll Technology team. This is atechnical-functional rolefocused on supporting and optimizing Oracle Cloud Payroll processes during a major transition from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll, strong configuration and testing skills, and the ability to work independently while advising cross-functional teams. As a key team member, you will enhance product knowledge and user understanding of the system, support Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll processes, and contribute to testing, bug identification, and documentation. Attention to detail is critical when executing tests, documenting results, and reporting issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and test Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll processes, including elements, fast formulas, and HCM extracts.
- Guide and advise teams during the transition from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- Prepare technical design specifications based on functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and consistent deliverables.
- Identify, analyze, and document bugs during testing; report and resolve defects.
- Configure and maintain payroll components using Oracle Cloud tools.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- Deep understanding of Oracle Payroll processing, US taxes, and payroll accounting.
- Strong experience with:
- Elements and Fast Formulas
- HCM Extracts
- HDL/HSDL (HCM Data Loader)
- Oracle HCM tablesfor reporting and support
- Familiarity withSQLandOracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Ability to work independently after initial onboarding.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Cloud Payroll Practitioner Certification (preferred but not required).
- Experience supporting large-scale payroll system transitions.
