Senior Tableau Developer

We are seeking a Senior Tableau Developer who can work on a long term project with a client at Irvine.

This is an onsite contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for building new dashboards and enhancing existing ones, turning data into easy-to-understand dashboards for the business. Will require to share portfolio of referenceable dashboards on Tableau Public.

We are looking for professionals who can demonstrate data storytelling, possesses a strong design aesthetic, Implement style guides, discuss data cleaning and preparation, strong problem solving skills and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, design, and maintain new and existing dashboards.

Create and manage Tableau data sources for Snowflake, SQL Server, SAP HANA, and Google Sheets.

Utilize Tableau Virtual Connections to implement data security.

Publish workbooks and data sources to Tableau Cloud.

Proactively identify and resolve performance issues for slow-running dashboards, applying best practices for data extraction, connection optimization, and dashboard design.

Address and resolve support tickets related to Tableau dashboards, data sources, and performance issues in a timely manner.

Connect to on-premise data sources using Tableau Bridge.

Collaborate with stakeholders from various divisions to understand business problems and translate them into effective data visualizations.

We are looking for:

Hands-on experience with Tableau Cloud and publishing workbooks.

Expertise in creating data sources from Snowflake, SQL Server, HANA, and Google Sheets.

Strong proficiency in SQL is a must.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach to working with business stakeholders.

Experience with Tableau performance optimization techniques.

Professionals local to the Irvine, CA area who can work on our w2 will be considered.
