Position: Network Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, OH - Onsite Hybrid

Duration: Long Term

Role Description

  • The core function of a Network Engineer is to ensure an organization's computer networks are operational, secure, and efficient.
  • Their role : Design, build, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls). Monitor performance and fix problems quickly. Implement security measures to protect the network.
  • Document all configurations and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Core Azure Services: Deep understanding of fundamental Azure offerings, including Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Storage (Blob, File, Queue), Virtual Networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPNs), and Azure Active Directory (now Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: The ability to calmly and methodically analyze complex issues and devise effective solutions under pressure.
  • Networking Fundamentals: A deep understanding of core concepts such as the OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, and DHCP.
