Role: Maintenance Technician - Day and Night Shift
Location: Zeeland, MI (ONSITE)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience OR 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education (e.g., possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience.
    • Applicants will be considered for Associate Maintenance Technicians, General Maintenance Technicians, and Sr Maintenance Technicians level openings.
    • Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.

Special Skills:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Frequent overhead work.
  • Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
