Job Description:
The role of Business Analyst has been identified as a critical position to improve detailed requirements and user story development and documentation. The dependence on Product Managers to go beyond high-level requirements where necessary is a bottleneck for providing accurate estimates from engineering and describe the requirement in detail that is consistent with the specific customer use and market need.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze client requirements and ensure that they are tracked in JIRA/Confluence with the right level of detail,
- Interact with customer and internal technical resources to resolve blockers for the engineering team,
- Take responsibility of actions and collaborate with the relevant resources to resolve them in a timely manner,
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings and all other Scrum ceremonies,
- Translate requirements to user stories with acceptance criteria,
- Ensure that a requirements traceability matrix is maintained and agreed between parties.
Position Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in capturing, developing, and communicating requirements in an agile development environment for hardware and software solutions.
- 3+ years’ experience of business Analysis in a Utilities or Telco environment
- Proven experience of leading Requirements definition in 3+ customer facing projects
- Experience writing user stories following TDD and BDD format.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence a plus
- Ability to work closely with both technical and not technical people.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex documents and extract functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following areas, Networking, Smart Metering, Water, Street lighting or Headend Software Systems
- Demonstrable experience working with distributed teams in both a near shore/offshore model.
- Software Engineering background preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex documents and extract functional and non-functional requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with customers and peers in engineering, manufacturing, and marketing.
Education and Certification
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus.
- Agile certification
- Business analysis certification.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000/year (DOE)
