Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Data Governance and Policy in Horsham, PA.

The Sr. Manager, Data Governance and Policy serves as a leading expert individual contributor who is viewed as a valuable resource by peers, who manages large projects or processes of strategic importance to the organization's Data Governance & Policy function. Guides the execution of projects, programs, and processes that span multiple related areas in support of the organization's overall Data Analytics & Computational Sciences strategy. Applies comprehensive knowledge of the Data Governance & Policy field to install best-in-class policies, procedures, and plans for the area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Data Governance and Policy Initiatives: Proactively lead and implement innovative programs and initiatives that enhance Data Governance and Policy efforts within J&J Regulatory Compliance, driving forward-thinking solutions independently.
  • Achieve Operational and Business Targets: Collaborate across functions to establish and meet operational, functional, and business objectives, delivering measurable outcomes that positively impact the Data Governance and Policy area.
  • Manage Compliance Data for Strategic Use: Manages compliance data used for transactional postings, reporting, and planning purposes for all information reported independently by JJRC (audits, inspections, field actions, etc.)
  • Data Collection and Validation: Systematically collect, validate, and input data into relevant systems, ensuring the integrity of information at all stages of the data lifecycle.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy and Completeness: Maintain strict oversight of data integrity during its creation and updates, managing the change control process and ensuring proper linkage to source documentation.
  • Enhance Data for In-Depth Analysis: Enrich datasets by adding relevant attributes to provide comprehensive analysis capabilities and insights.
  • Classify Data Using Standardized Frameworks: Organize and classify data according to established categories and hierarchies to promote consistency and usability.
  • Maintain Consistent Metadata: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of metadata to support effective reporting and analytics initiatives across the organization.
  • Design Data Quality Rules: Develop and implement data quality rules tailored to business requirements, ensuring the maintenance of clean and reliable data.
  • Mentor and Guide Junior Colleagues: Provide consultation and mentorship to junior team members, equipping them with techniques and processes, while offering functional (matrix) supervision to enhance their development.
  • Integrate Credo and Leadership Imperatives: Incorporate Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team objectives and decision-making processes, fostering a culture of ethical leadership and accountability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in a scientific or business field required
  • A minimum of 8 years working experience in a regulated environment
  • Ability to effectively apply project management tools and lean methodologies when leading projects and programs is required.
  • Strong, highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to quickly process and communicate complex information and make decisions with limited information
  • Experience influencing or persuading others to accept new ideas, approaches, or concepts or gains alignment on divergent issues with limited guidance.
  • Experience with Quality processes and procedures and systems
  • Big picture orientation with attention to detail and results oriented required
  • Ability to work in a matrix and multi-cultural environment required.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English is required
