Description APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Research, design, develop, implement, and debug web applications and web service software using Java, Guava libraries, Netty or equivalent asynchrounous application frameworks, JUnit, Mockito, Maven or Gradle, Containers. Design, develop architect, implement, and integrate cloud applications with knowledges and experiences building production cloud applications running on baremetal hosts, VMs and containerized environments, also knowledges and experiences of supporting Key-Value data store and caching technologies such as Redis, memcached, RocksDB, knowleges and experiences of using Cassandra and PosgreSQL/MySQL databases. Build integration tests to ensure quality and enable automated testing and continued maintenance of software systems. Review software source code to identity defects, performance issues, and propose improvements, such reviews are conducted by reading through and understanding open source software code in C, Java, designing and running various functional and performance test cases against it. Support and build tools and infrastructure for Apple test environments and lead application and infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and dashboards. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 - $250,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience of the following skills is required:
  • Use Java to implement applications and libraries - Web applications such as REST API and GraphQL API services supporting features. Libraries such as client libraries to interact with our databases.
  • Use Python to implement operation and data analysis scripts for our runtime infrastructure and applications.
  • Use SQL databases such as PosgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL for various of data storage and manager purposes.
  • Use Linux or Unix operating system developing and debugging software.
  • Use Cassandra for application integration and data modeling.
  • Use Spark to deal with data processing needs.
  • Develop, deploy and troubleshoot containerized applications with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Tupperware, or Vagrant.
  • Troubleshoot and run Key-Value database or caching technologies at scale such as Redis, Memcached, or RocksDB.
