Job Description:
Key Responsibilities & Skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct contract negotiations, pricing analysis, sourcing, and change order management.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, contract terms, and conditions.
- Prepare contractual documents and binding agreements.
- Integrate customer, program, and product strategies into procurement and sourcing decisions.
- Support senior-level procurement agents with project management tasks and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement supplier strategies aligned with company goals.
- Assist in production control improvements, including hardware development through engineering, certification, tooling, and first article buyoff.
- Monitor and ensure supplier capacity readiness across the supply chain, including sub-tier vendor performance.
Strategic & Analytical Tasks:
- Apply financial analysis, activity-based costing, and supply chain methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop mitigation plans for procurement risks.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional supplier improvement initiatives.
- Analyze and manage supplier performance across technical, quality, cost, and schedule dimensions.
- Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and process improvement activities.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Communicate effectively with organizational leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Gather and negotiate customer support requirements to align with business needs.
Daily Procurement Operations:
- Execute daily procurement tasks such as contract updates, supplier communications, and internal coordination.
- Use project management tools for supplier performance monitoring and procurement tracking.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, contract negotiation, or supply chain.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Basic project management knowledge and the ability to multitask across dynamic procurement functions.
