About the Role

Uber is home to one of the largest and most unique insurance programs in the world and insurance data lies at its foundation. We're looking for an experienced Senior Actuarial Analyst to manage our critical insurance data infrastructure. This will involve everything from designing new data pipelines and improving existing data processes to expanding the scope of the data program to support Uber's ever-growing portfolio! This team works cross functionally to ensure that our data processes are aligned with industry best practices and partner needs.

What You'll Do

- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including actuaries, program managers, data scientists and software engineers to identify challenges and opportunities for insurance data pipelines
- Create robust data pipelines and processes to unlock new analytical opportunities
- Design comprehensive quality checks to facilitate accurate analyses and to ensure Uber's insurance data meets compliance standards
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build and improve on the availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data logging and data pipelines.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years actuarial experience, preferably in a data-focused role
- Completion of 4+ P&C actuarial exams, with commitment to continuing to take exams
- Excel plus high proficiency in SQL and Python
- BA/BS Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or Similar

Preferred Qualifications

- M.S. in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields
- Experience working with commercial or personal auto insurance data
- Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
- Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$118,000 per year - USD$131,000 per year.
