Job Details
We are seeking an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Developer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale data integration and analytics solutions. This role leads ODI development and vendor implementation efforts across the full project lifecycle-from requirements and architecture through deployment and post-implementation support.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on data integration specialist with deep ODI expertise who can translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable ETL solutions. This position blends technical delivery, data architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship within a complex enterprise environment.
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite per week in Midtown Manhattan, NY
Salary Range: $105K-$145K base
Responsibilities
ODI Development & Data Integration
- Design, develop, and support Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) ETL solutions and enterprise data pipelines.
- Build and maintain data models, mappings, packages, and procedures supporting analytics, reporting, and downstream systems.
- Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and transformation logic to ensure performance, scalability, and data quality.
- Support integrations across Oracle databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure data reliability through monitoring, reconciliation, error handling, and performance tuning.
Analytics & Reporting Enablement
- Support enterprise analytics platforms including Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Partner with business and reporting teams to define data requirements and deliver complex datasets.
- Design and troubleshoot complex database queries and analytics data models.
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across analytics and operational systems.
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Lead ODI development efforts for projects of moderate complexity from design through implementation and support.
- Contribute to project plans, estimates, timelines, and delivery milestones.
- Produce technical design documentation, data flow diagrams, and implementation artifacts.
- Participate in release planning, code migrations, and deployment governance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and internal IT teams to deliver ODI-based solutions aligned to business goals.
- Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, architects, developers, and analytics teams.
- Communicate technical concepts in clear, business-friendly terms.
- Provide regular status updates and proactively manage risks and dependencies.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Provide production support for ODI integrations, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and remediation.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Identify and implement improvements to data integration processes, monitoring, and performance.
- Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Enablement & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor junior developers and analysts on ODI best practices.
- Support documentation and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and promote high-quality engineering standards.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years, or
- Associate's degree with 5+ years, or
- High School diploma/GED with technical certification and 7+ years of relevant experience
Required Technical Experience
- 3+ years developing and supporting Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) ETLs
- 3+ years of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL experience
- Experience building and supporting enterprise data models
- 2+ years supporting complex reporting and analytics datasets
- 2+ years working with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Strong understanding of ETL architecture, data integration patterns, and performance tuning
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
- Strong documentation, communication, and time-management skills
Preferred Experience
- Oracle RDBMS and/or SQL Server
- REST API integrations and external data sources
- Packaged or vendor-based enterprise system implementations
- Cloud-based or SaaS enterprise applications
- GitHub, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow
- Project Management and/or Business Analysis experience
- Participation in medium to large-scale enterprise data initiatives
