Network/Telephony Deployment Support Specialist
Remote (No time zone preference; West Coast candidates may need to accommodate early hours depending on store needs)

$30.00/hr-$35.00/hr on w2 , DOE
Job Summary
The Network/Telephony Deployment Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing network and telephony hardware/software deployments for Gap Inc. stores across North America. The role requires remote coordination with on-site technicians and various internal and external partners to ensure timely and effective delivery of IT infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. North American Network/Telephony Store Support
- Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for Gap North America s store-related network and telephony activities, including construction, deployment, and break-fix initiatives.
- Proactively coordinate with construction teams to ensure the effective implementation of networking and telephony in new and remodeled stores.
- Configure network and telephony hardware across the U.S. and Canada.
- Order network and telephony circuits and coordinate timely implementation to meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve, or escalate network-related technical and procedural issues.
- Manage service level escalations and follow appropriate escalation protocols.
- Leverage available tools and resources to address inventory constraints efficiently.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with internal business partners.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks to ensure timelines are met.
- Track and manage financials for procured network hardware and services.
2. Vendor Management
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities related to network and telephony hardware at the warehouse.
- Respond to and resolve service level escalations involving vendors.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with multiple third-party vendors.
- Participate in network escalation and troubleshooting processes in collaboration with vendors.
3. Reporting & Miscellaneous Projects
- Maintain and update inventory and project tracking systems using tools like Excel, PowerBI, and Smartsheet.
- Summarize and report on complex projects with multiple dependencies and moving parts.
- Monitor project status and deliver timely updates to leadership.
- Prepare and submit weekly status summaries detailing network-related activities and changes.
Organizational Relationships
Collaborates with IT teams, store personnel, Brand Operations, Corporate Architecture, Construction, and both IT and non-IT departments.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, graphs, queries, macros).
- Experience with PowerBI preferred.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness and ability to learn the technical and procedural aspects of.'s retail store environment.
Education
- Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on networking experience (Routers, Switches, LAN/WAN, IP, Zoom Telephony Systems).
- Project management or project coordination experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or field support environment
