Job Summary:

Qualcomm is looking a Director of Product Management for the Snapdragon Compute Business Unit to help define and promote Qualcomm Chipsets for emerging use cases in PC Gaming, Creators, Workstations and interactive entertainment. Successful candidate will define the chipset and platform hardware and software product requirements, analyze business opportunities drive execution and help on go-to-market plans and customer engagements globally. In addition, the candidate is going to collect and prioritize use cases, customer requirements and work closely with engineering teams to drive on-time deliveries to customers. The position requires strong expertise in CPU, Graphics and Video hardware, a deep understanding of the mobile/PC/console gaming platforms and ecosystems, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and influence key stakeholders in product management, engineering, marketing, finance, supply, and sales teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive complete product life cycle from idea to development to go-to-market
  • Define use cases, platform architecture, software stack, and the total solution value proposition for Graphics, Gaming and Creators Notebooks
  • Interact with external GPU vendors, with Snapdragon customers to ensure product success
    Work with technology product management and engineering leads to drive requirements into the technology roadmaps
  • Work with customers and internal engineering teams on customer RFIs, RFQs, and system-level use case modelling & analysis
  • Collaborate with key stake holders across engineering, program management, technology product management to ensure the program meets all specifications and KPIs
  • Translate customer feedback and market dynamics into potential changes to ensure a differentiated product roadmap and communicate this to senior management

Requirements:

In depth understanding of PC GPU / Gaming industry and knowledge of key players including but not limited to - GPU silicon vendors, PC OEMs (Dell, HP, Lenovo etc.), Microsoft. Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

3+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.

2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

2+ years of negotiating 3rd party business agreements.

Pay range:
$189,000.00 - $284,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
